Not Me Monday

  • I did not skip giving my daughter a bath last night just because I was tired, I believe in a bath every night
  • I did not have my son stay home from school because of his asthma, and than allow him to play video games all day. I make my sick children stay in bed.
  • I did not let my child walk out of the house the other day with his shoes on the wrong feet, just because he thought he was right. Nope not me
  • There is also no way I would ever put pine sol in the sink so it could smell like I cleaned.
  • Also I make sure on days that I have the flu that my son still eats healthy and not a pudding and granola bar for lunch..

Brian has had some revenge coming to him for sometime because he is ALWAYS messing with you, well this morning I got it.. There may be an F bomb, I dont remember

Anyone can tell you who I was before, I laughed and had fun. Back in 05 I was struck with panic attacks. I am afraid to fly, sit passenger, ride a train and many other moving objects. A lot of my fears are silly. But none the less they have hindered me and my marriage. My mother works for an airline, and I can fly on her pass very cheaply, to Ireland and many other places. I thank god I have my loving husband who understands me and holds my hand. But because of me, I make him drive everywhere. We are getting out of the Army into the unknown because of my panic. Well this Friday I am no longer going to relay on meds. I will still take them, but I will start cognitive therapy, where I can change my way of thinking. To know that the extra cup of coffee in the morning will not kill me. To know that riding a train, will not kill me. To know I no longer have to find the fastest escape out of the room. Wish me luck. I cant wait to be me again.

The kiddos

soccer and aspergers- Whats a mom to do.

Well I bit the bullet, I have officially enrolled Mateo into soccer, against my better mommy judgment. I understand the need for him to be challenged, I also get that this may help his balanace. But any mother with a aspie child knows that sports don't really go in the category of something their child can do. Sure Ive looked everywhere for someone to tell me " Hey my kid does just fine". I have yet to hear or read that. I am worried, I am scared that he wont know how to play, he will get hurt, or the kids will leave him out. Trust me kids at 5 and 6 are brutal, and my son wouldn't hurt a fly (most likely because he is afraid of flies). So with us luck, Thursday is our first practice.

Friday Five

Each Friday I will post 5 thing I am thankful for. This will help me end the week on a good note, no matter what has happened.

1.I am thankful to the person who came up with tye dyeing. Mateo and i had a blast this week making T-Shirts, and it was wonderful time spent together

2. I am thankful for teachers, not just the educational kind, but those who take time out of their schedule to teach us from their mistakes.

3. While at time I detest the Army, I am thankful for them. The insurance, my bills being paid, a roof over my head. While the rest of the world is worrying on how they will pay their mortgage, we don't have to worry about that

4. I am thankful for God. This is an obvious one, however with him my life wouldn't be complete. Sure life gets crazy and their are times I think I cant do it, but those are the times that I don't let God in.

5. My husband. He is home every night with the family. Some husbands prefer to spend time at bars, or out with their Friends, but he chooses to spend his free time with us.

update I guess

Not much has been happening since I last updated. I am now 7 months along only 2 more to go, even though in pregnancy lingo that really means 3. My new obsession this week is cookies and tye dying t shirt with Mateo. He thinks this is awesome by the way.

My oldest son is now 11, and has won a scholarship to blue lake. Hes not happy about it and doesn't want to go. Yet he needs to, he has confidence issues.. Also when most people hear scholorship they think FREE, however his scholorship turned into 700 bucks, but with 2 sets of parents chipping in we should be ok.

We are now up to 4 cats, Brian cracked and allowed me to get another cat. But just like kids, we are now done with animals I dont want to be the crazy cat lady. So here I leave u with recent pictures.
The first is the babys room before and after

And my internet is running slow, so thats all the pics for now

The most wonderful husband

I have the most wonderful husband. About 2-3 weeks ago we went to the animal shelter, because that's what I do for fun. Brian has made it very apparent that 1 dog 3 cats a rabbit and a turtle are my limit. I CAN NOT have another dog, under any circumstances. Yesterday I spoke with him about this dog I fell in love with at the shelter when we went, she has been on my mind and I could not get her out of it. So I asked him if, we could please adopt her, as today was her last day, she was to be gassed. He gave it some thought, and said no. I cried for hours. I did my best to make sure I was not upset at him, as it wasn't his fault. None the less it still hurt. He consoled me and felt bad, but that was his decision (God just had to have me SUBMIT !!!!!!) So, today I was still pretty sad, so we headed out to the no kill shelter ( for a man who hates animals he sure does go to the shelter a lot). After leaving there, I asked if we could please just go say good bye to this dog. Once again Brian made it known, she was NOT coming home with us. So we went, when I walked in guess what, SHE WAS BEING ADOPTED. I wanted to rush to the back to see the other dogs, but Mateo had to potty. Brian was already out of site, and I was a little upset that I had to take Mateo to the bathroom, when he ( Brian) knew I wanted to head back. We ended up leaving, and I asked him why he went to the back to see the dogs.
My wonderful husband says " I wanted to make sure that for sure was her, and I know last time we were here she had a buddy, I wanted to make sure he was gone too." I than asked, well what if it wasn't her, or what if her buddy wasn't adopted. He laughed and said " I would've taken them home."

My husband who put his foot down, was willing to give up his convictions for me, to please me so I would be happy. I have a wonderful husband

Well here is the baby girl who adopted today

She reminds me of my baby here at home. This is Tessie, and no she isn't eating the cat :)

The love Dare

So I really want to see the movie fire proof, and once it comes out I will own it.

However until than Brian and I will be doing the love dare . Todays is
The first part of this dare is fairly simple. Although love is communicated in a number of ways, our words often reflect the condition of our heart. For the next day, resolve to demonstrate patience and to say NOTHING negative to your spouse at all. If the temptation arises, choose not to say anything. It's better to hold your tongue than to say something you'll regret

Now Brian and I have a pretty rock solid marriage, ever since we brought God along for the ride, things have been great, however we always need to be kinder no matter what. This Dare seems pretty easy, yet at the same time even little things that are said can be seen as negative. For instance the cat litter is not changed yet again, I could be negative to Brian and not even realize I am doing it. OR I could ask nicely like I am asking for the first time.

Will be back tomorrow with the next love dare

The best story you will hear this year

Taken from Luke2 NIV

The Birth of Jesus
1In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2(This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3And everyone went to his own town to register.

4So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

The Shepherds and the Angels
8And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ[a] the Lord. 12This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger."

13Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
14"Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."

15When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."

16So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Jesus Presented in the Temple
21On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.

22When the time of their purification according to the Law of Moses had been completed, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord 23(as it is written in the Law of the Lord, "Every firstborn male is to be consecrated to the Lord"[b]), 24and to offer a sacrifice in keeping with what is said in the Law of the Lord: "a pair of doves or two young pigeons."[c]

25Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die before he had seen the Lord's Christ. 27Moved by the Spirit, he went into the temple courts. When the parents brought in the child Jesus to do for him what the custom of the Law required, 28Simeon took him in his arms and praised God, saying:
29"Sovereign Lord, as you have promised,
you now dismiss[d] your servant in peace.
30For my eyes have seen your salvation,
31which you have prepared in the sight of all people,
32a light for revelation to the Gentiles
and for glory to your people Israel."

33The child's father and mother marveled at what was said about him. 34Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: "This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too."

36There was also a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37and then was a widow until she was eighty-four.[e] She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 38Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

39When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. 40And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.

God Wow he is wonderful

Wow, God is powerful. How many people can say they can rely on someone though thick and thin, someone who will love you and always have their arms open for you. Someone who will forgive you for your wrong doings and can provide you with everything you have ever needed. I can say that I have that person in my life. The person is the lord. The most powerful spirit. I still have a long journry ahead of me, and long walk but I can say I am so glad I have God to do it with. I have decided that this blog is going to be about my journey, my questions, how I dealt with the word submit, how i am learning about finances, and one of the best books a person could read. Every womens battle. I will re read this book chapter by chapter..

I leave you with this, the beginning is slow, but wow. This video brings me to tears, and it reminds me just how much god loves me. I leared something tonight when I was listening to the chaplain. Its very simple. Either be in Gods wrath , or Gods love. I dont know about you, but I prefer to be on Gods good side.
